Thomas J. Conway Tom Conway has over twenty-five years of senior management experience working with both the non-profit and public sectors. His fundraising experience includes successful direction of planning studies, development assessments and annual fund and capital/endowment campaigns. He has directed or supervised campaigns which raised over $200 million on behalf of non-profit clients. Some examples of his consulting assignments are: Athenaeum of Ohio/Mount St. Mary's Seminary, Boy Scouts of America, Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati, Indiana State Museum, National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, The Salvation Army, Texas State Aquarium and Tougaloo College. He is recognized as a specialist in designing and executing strategies for capital campaigns having significant public and private components. Mr. Conway holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Xavier University. He is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, an instructor of that organization's First Course in Fundraising, and a board member of the Ohio River Foundation. An avid nature photographer, he resides with his wife in Cincinnati, Ohio and Wilmington, North Carolina. Beth Becka Beth Becka offers non-profit organization’s more than a decade of experience in development work in southeastern North Carolina. She is especially skilled in major gifts cultivation and solicitation, special events, corporate sponsorships and planning for and executing capital campaigns. Ms. Becka held development positions at Cape Fear Academy, Community Foundation of Southeastern North Carolina, Myrtle Grove Christian School, University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and WHQR. She earned both bachelor and master degrees from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Ms. Becka has credentials as an acting and dialect coach. She resides with her daughter in Wilmington, North Carolina. Marta A. Brockmeyer Marta Brockmeyer specializes in helping non-profit organizations fulfill their mission through strategic planning, project management, mergers and team-building activities. She offers clients more than twenty-five years experience in non-profit, public sector and higher education settings. Current and recent strategic planning clients include: American Red Cross-Cincinnati Chapter, Caracole, Inc., Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati, the National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ), and St. Joseph Orphanage. Other clients are: CET, Community Mental Health Center, Society of St. Vincent de Paul, and The Children’s Home of Cincinnati. Ms. Brockmeyer received a Doctor of Philosophy degree at St. Louis University, a master’s degree from University of Missouri-St. Louis and a bachelor’s degree from Central Missouri State University. Earlier in her career she held appointments at the University of Cincinnati and the Kentucky Department for Adult Education and Literacy. She and her husband reside in Northern Kentucky. Jaimie Gilhooley Flack Jaimie Gilhooley Flack brings non-profit clients more than twenty years experience in fundraising and marketing for independent schools, universities, medical centers, and the performing and visual arts. Her experiences range from grass roots organizations to prestigious international assemblies in New York, the Midwest and Florida. Ms. Flack has managed endowment, capital and annual campaigns. She has been responsible for prospecting, cultivating and soliciting major donors, board and volunteer development, corporate sponsorships and grant writing, public relations, membership and alumni relations programs, and special events. Fund-raising campaigns she directed include: The Barrett Cancer Center at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Cincinnati Arts Association, College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, and The Spence School. Recent consulting projects include: Arts United and South Africa Free Elections Fund National Campaign. Ms. Flack has directed campaigns with goals from one million to twenty million dollars. Ms. Flack is a graduate of Westminster Choir College, Princeton, New Jersey, and received a master’s degree from Temple University in Philadelphia. She resides in Ft. Myers, Florida, with her husband where she enjoys sailing and volunteering with various arts groups. Jan Lively Jan Lively has nineteen years of institutional advancement experience in higher education, including positions at several major universities and small colleges in the midwest and southeast. Most recently, she was a fundraising professional at the University of Dayton during its last capital campaign, which raised over $150 million. A talented communicator, Ms. Lively has directed programs in major gifts, corporate and foundation relations, planned giving and prospect research. Her consulting experience includes writing the case statements for Grinnell College’s capital campaign and Middletown Area Senior Citizens Center, foundation proposals for the Wellness Connection of the Miami Valley, and conducting planning studies for Wright State University. Ms. Lively received Bachelor and Master degrees from the University of Iowa and Iowa State University, respectively. She lives in Dayton where she teaches qigong classes and volunteers for the Noble Circle Project, a wellness program she co-founded. Patricia M. McGeever Patricia McGeever is an award-winning television and video producer with local and national commercial and cable television credits. She brings to clients twenty years writing and production experience to help them translate their mission and goals into a visually-appealing, easily-understood video message. After graduating with a Communication Arts degree from Xavier University, Ms. McGeever worked as a production assistant and field producer at WKRC-TV in Cincinnati. She honed her skills in news writing as a reporter at WBIR-TV in Knoxville, Tennessee, and as a newscast producer at WHAS-TV in Louisville. Since returning to her hometown, she has built a successful freelance career concentrating on cable television and other video projects. She has written and produced campaign videos for non-profit clients including Middletown Area Senior Citizens and SPCA Cincinnati. Ms. McGeever has received a regional Emmy Award and numerous Emmy Award nominations for her work, as well as recognition from the Associated Press and the Society of Professional Journalists. She resides in suburban Cincinnati and in her spare time enjoys teaching Irish dancing to 6 and 7 year olds. S. Kathryn Page Kathryn Page is a well known consultant throughout the southeast. For nearly thirty years she has provided fund-raising counsel to scores of organizations. Her expertise ranges from planning studies, special events and strategic planning, to capital and annual campaigns. Ms. Page’s consulting experience spans the arts and culture sector, educational institutions, environmental causes and preservation groups. A resident of Wilmington, North Carolina, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Marietta College. Amelia J. Riedel Amelia Riedel offers non-profit organizations dynamic communication solutions created through a strong comprehension of the organization's mission and values. Ms. Riedel has more than fifteen years of experience in the graphic design and marketing fields, primarily specializing in non-profit communications. Her design expertise includes identity and branding systems, print collateral, campaign and annual fund publications, newsletters and special event invitations as well as trade show displays and web site design. Ms. Riedel’s designs have been recognized by CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) and the Cincinnati Art Director’s Club. Current and recent clients include: The American Quilt Study Group, Bayley Place, Chatfield College, Middletown Area Senior Citizens, Samaritan Health Foundation, SC Ministry Foundation, Seton Family Center, and SPCA Cincinnati. Ms. Riedel received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Dayton. She resides with her family in suburban Cincinnati. Barbara S. Roberts Barbara Roberts combines grant proposal skills with practical experience in non-profit customer service to offer clients clarity in articulating missions, goals, and needs. She provides more than fifteen years of non-profit experience, including six years of grants development work. Current and recent grants development clients in Arizona and Ohio include: Arizona Children’s Association, Chatfield College, Clinica Adelante, Deaconess Hospital Foundation, LifeSpan, and Middletown Area Senior Citizens. She has researched, written and submitted successful grant applications to federal, state, regional, local, and private foundations, ranging in size from $25,000 to $1.6 million. Ms. Roberts holds an undergraduate degree in sociology from Indiana University and a master’s degree from Antioch University. She serves on the Board of Trustees for the Lincoln Heights Healthcare Connection and volunteers with the American Red Cross. She has served on grant application review committees for the Bureau of Primary Health Care. Ms. Roberts, who was born and raised in Cincinnati, recently returned to the Ohio Valley from Arizona and currently resides in Loveland. Melissa J. Trotter Missy Trotter specializes in prospect identification, prospect research and prospect management of individuals, corporations and foundations. She conducts staff training in the area of prospect research and has presented numerous workshops on this topic. Ms. Trotter’s sixteen-year career in fundraising and public relations also encompasses the areas of capital campaigns, planning studies, cultivation of major donor prospects, internal and external communications, publication writing and design, crisis media relations, and special events. Current and recent clients include: Chatfield College, LifeSpan, Inc., Middletown Area Senior Citizens, SPCA Cincinnati and St. Xavier High School. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and is a member of the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement (APRA). She resides with her family in the Cincinnati area. E. Miles Wilson Miles Wilson brings clients nearly twenty years of experience in the not-for-profit sector. His specialties include conducting planning studies, development assessments, program design, and funds distribution for charitable foundations. Before becoming a consultant, he held senior positions at the Scripps Howard Center for Civic Engagement & Nonprofit Development at Northern Kentucky University, The Omidyer Foundation, The Greater Cincinnati Foundation and the Corporation for National Service (AmeriCorps). Miles Wilson earned a Bachelor degree from Ohio Wesleyan University and a Master degree from Ohio State University. He has been a presenter to groups such as Ohio Grantmakers, American College Personnel Association and the White House National Roundtable. He resides in northern Kentucky. Brenda Zechmeister In her position as client solutions coordinator at Conway Company, Brenda Zechmeister is primarily responsible for database management, e-communications, and client satisfaction. Ms. Zechmeister has over fifteen years of experience working with various Cincinnati-based nonprofit organizations. Her fundraising experience includes work on the Fine Arts Fund annual campaign and grant writing. She has successfully researched, written and secured grants from local, regional and national funders. Ms. Zechmeister received her Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting and Master’s degree in Arts Administration at the University of Cincinnati. She owns her own business, the Morning Glory Bed & Breakfast, and enjoys bicycling as a mode of transportation (in warm weather) and as a leisure activity. She resides in Covington, Kentucky. |
